A word about cheating .....

Desktop Dungeons is a difficult game.
Very difficult.

That's finally a part of its interest too : winning in easy games doesn't give you a real feeling of reward and pride.

So , what's the interest of cheating in Desktop Dungeon ?
For me it's to avoid the following process which is , in my opinion,  pointless :
In Desktop Dungeon, you can earn a certain amount of gold. Even having the maximum of gold does not ease automatically the game : for example, buying viper ward , which grants poison immunity in the factory is useless.

But, for maximizing the chance of winning, starting the game with gold full is just a way to ensure that in case there are interessant items in the dungeon, you can afford to buy them.

So , what is the basic "strategy" ?  Before starting a serious game , I start a standard dungeon with thief, and try to get all the loot from the dungeon . I retire, and restart again till I have gold to the maximum.

Stupid, no ?

So I made a little python script to open a savegame, and maximize the gold.
Play your game , lose it (95 % of chance in most case ;) ) . Quit Desktop dungeon, run the script (drag your saved game on ResetGold.bat)  , restart Desktop Dungeon : your gold is at its maximum.

Sure , Purists and super veteran will not like that. But admit that making several "blank" games just to earn gold is stupid.....

Script to Reset Gold
